Summary
The Senior Sales Engineer will act as the technical lead throughout the sales process for large and complex energy storage projects. This role involves developing cost estimates, leading technical negotiations, and shaping product roadmaps based on customer requirements. You will work closely with sales, product, supply chain, logistics, and project execution teams to ensure technical excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Technical Expertise and Support
Develop a comprehensive understanding of IAME’s energy storage technology platforms.
Provide sales teams with technical support and product configuration guidance to drive successful sales of equipment and turnkey solutions.
Review, analyze, and negotiate detailed technical specifications, including Balance of Plant (BOP) scope for MV, HV, and civil components.
Sales Process Leadership
Create detailed and accurate cost estimates for new sales opportunities.
Lead technical aspects of contract negotiations, including scope, schedules, and performance guarantees.
Capture customer technical requirements and collaborate with internal teams to shape product roadmaps.
Sales Tools and Collaboration
Assist in the development of sales tools, presentations, and support materials to streamline and enhance the sales process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and project execution, to ensure alignment and delivery of customer needs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
3–10 years of experience in energy storage, solar, or power generation industries.
Skills and Expertise
Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate solutions effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with contract negotiations and key technical and commercial contract areas.
Knowledge of applicable standards, codes, and regulations in the energy sector.
Personal Attributes
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20% of the time).
Language and Travel Requirements
Fluent in English; proficiency in Polish is essential (additional languages like German or French are a plus).
